The Minnesota Rehabilitation and Reinvestment Act (MRRA) has been state law as of August 1, 2023, yet the Department of Corrections who were instrumental in getting it passed are slow walking it's implementation preventing thousands of people from getting off supervision early and an estimated 1000 people from being released today. An estimated 2700 people currently incarcerated are eligible for release under the #mrraToday but have not yet been considered for release.
